Felt Pumpkin Hat (Free Template!)

DIY Felt Pumpkin Hat! A no-sew toddler friendly craft!

Around this time of year, we always pull out our felt chicken hats for Oktoberfest. But this was the first year since Kevin and I have lived in Cincinnati that we didn’t make it. So our hats stayed in the closet and instead I decided to make some fun felt Halloween hats for the girls! First up, the felt pumpkin hat!

DIY Felt Pumpkin Hat:

1. Trace the template onto the felt and cut out.

2. Use a glue gun to secure the orange panels together with the seams on the outside as shown. Then flip the cone inside out so that the seams are on the inside.

3. Repeat with the green felt securing only the outside edge of the felt together.

4. Using the glue gun, secure a few spots of the green felt onto the orange felt and glue on the eyes and mouth!

That’s it!

Note: I created the template to fit both my 3 year old and 1 year old. I measured Anabelle’s head loosely and divided it by 3 for 3 panels. So each panel is 7 inches wide. If you want to adjust the size, simply make it wider or narrower.
