I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve pulled out my real camera with baby girl! I mean it was completely dead for Oktoberfest, so I managed with our abundance of iphones, but there’s just something about pulling out the real thing here and there. So the other day I pulled it out for play time.
First off, I LOVE these little headbands! I mean seriously!!! How cute is she?! The headbands that we had were super cute but were a bit too summery for the cozy feeling of fall that I love. So I remedied it by shopping on etsy and found the perfect fit at this shop.
And her outfit! I love fall! Since she was born in July I had summer dress after summer dress. I love them! But once it got cooler out, I realized that pretty soon she might need a bit more coverage. I literally didn’t know what to buy a baby girl for winter. I mean isn’t it just summer dresses, flowers, bows and onsies?… And then I walked into Buy Buy Baby and into the world of jeggings, jumpers, sweaters and colored denim. Yeeeeaaaaah….. Daddy’s in trouble
Ok, now that we have her adorable fashion covered, can we just talk about how quickly she’s changing?! First, she’s just lifting herself up with her back muscles, and then all of the sudden one day she uses her arms and even rolls over! One day, she completely hates “tummy time”, and the next, she loves it! And now she’s even cooing like crazy! That one is my absolute favorite right now! She had cooed here and there, but now she has turned into the biggest little chatterbox! She used to just cry. She wanted something, so she’d cry. If she wanted a meal, she’d cry. If she wanted a clean diaper, she’d cry. And if she just wanted attention, she’d cry. Then she started crying as if she was talking to you. One time she poo-ed her diaper and leaked everywhere… I laid her in my lap in the front seat of my Mini Cooper and cleaned her up. It took me a while to get her clean especially since I had a lot of pre-cleaning before I could even get to work on the real thing. (I know… TMI, but it’s setting her sad stage for you.) From the moment it happens and I got her out of her carseat, through the whole time she was on my lap and until she had the fresh diaper on, she did her half cry and told me the whole story. It was as if she was embarrassed and completely upset that she would even do something like that. If she didn’t have such a sad story to tell, I probably would have slipped out some extra chuckles because of how cute she was.
But just the other day, she realized that she didn’t need to cry to make noise! She doesn’t have to half cry to tell me a story. So she just kicks her feet, smiles, throws her fists and makes the cutest bunch of noises ever! She now loves her voice and I can’t get enough! Next step I know is playing more with her hands! She has been staring at them (and her arms) for weeks! Maybe even months by now… She is on the verge of realizing what she can do with them
Oh I love her! I can’t believe she is so big already!
