Feb10-16

Last weekend, Mom threw a Valentines’s party for us girls! It was a jewelry making party with Origami Owl! It was so much fun! This little, 14-year-old girl started selling these lockets to save up for a car when she turned 16. That was two years ago! I’m sure she could have a fleet of cars by now, because her jewelry line took off!  And I can definitely see why! Not only were they fun to make, but they are so cute to wear too!

We started off the party by making special lattes! We don’t usually add whipped cream, syrup or caramel to our lattes, but sometimes girls just need something a little extra special don’t they?!

First you picked a locket. Silver, gold or rose gold. Rhinestones or none. Then you picked your charms to fill your locket. We had a large selection to pick from and it was fun to see how each of our lockets developed! Some of us decided to tell a story, some picked a theme and others expressed their personality.

It was the perfect party for me to whip up some delicious desserts from my Pinterest board that I had yet to try! They were super sweet, but incredibly delicious! Cheese and apples were the perfect nutrition and protein to balance the burst of sugar!

I started the party with nothing specific in mind and picked out a whole bunch of charms: a camera, red wine, coffee cup, baby foot, heart, dance, lap top, etc…. Everyone of them expressed a piece of my personality or part of my life. But when I realized that three of them unified and expressed my obsession of blogging for Laughing Latte, I just couldn’t resist! It was too perfect and too “me”  to mess with!

When picking out her charms, Chloe decided to tell a story of relationship with her boyfriend! It was so cute and perfect! She was the only one of us to play with the different metals and add plates to her locket. (Her plates will actually say something different than pictured)

Sadie expressed her personality with her locket with a softball, a cross, owls, and a heart! She obviously loves the owl trend right now! She’s a huge bird lover, what do you expect?!

And Mom told the story of her life right now! A suitcase for traveling, a music note (or whatever it is… Mom, Chloe, Bernadette and Sadie, I know you are correcting me right now! ;) ) and a heart for Grandma! Obviously it is going to be all about the little one on the way here pretty soon!

Feb10-14

Bernadette went with a vintage theme for hers and picked her charms mostly out of the brochure!

Thanks Mom!
